Disappointing Superbowl

Yesterday was Superbowl LIII which featured the New England Patriots facing off against Los Angeles Rams. The Patriots ended up winning what ended up being the lowest scoring Superbowl in history by a score of 13-3.

There have been plenty of boring Superbowls but the thing that made yesterday’s game particularly upsetting was the poor halftime show and bland commercials. There are a lot of people who tune into Superbowl Sunday simply for the halftime show, which this year was performed by Maroon 5 and Travis Scott, but unfortunately fans across the nation were not happy with the performance. The low point for most people was Travis Scott performing his hit song “Sicko Mode.”

But that’s not the only thing that wasn’t up to par regarding the Superbowl. The commercials, which are usually funny and entertaining, were just normal commercials. Arguably the biggest highlight with regards to commercials was the special Marvel TV Spot which was a short Avengers End Game trailer.

Basically the Superbowl this year was not the spectacle that it is known to be, but the great thing about Superbowls is that we can always look forward to next year.
