Today is an especially important day of the year commonly referred to as Super Tuesday. Super Tuesday takes place during the presidential primary season where the greatest number of States in the US hold either primary elections or state caucuses. It’s possible to win more delegates to the presidential nominating conventions (which determine the official candidate from each party) on Super Tuesday than on any other day. It is therefore a strong indicator of the likely eventual nominee for each political party. It would not be surprising if after today, lots of political news regarding elections comes pouring across news channels.
